2.1 Rules

The course grade is basically based on a term project. The standard model is as follows:

1. Think of a new twist on some geometry algorithm.
2. Implement your idea.
3. Test it and get example.
4. Write it up in an academic paper with references etc.
5. Hand it in May 1.

However, modifications of this will be considered. You may:

1. work in teams,
2. combine with another course, if you tell everyone involved,
3. extend an earlier project or a publicly available program, ditto.
4. do anything that could charitably be considered related to geometry, graphics, CAD, HTML, etc. However, if you are helping someone get running on the web, use some creativity or whatever to distinguish your project from what someone would do in 35.475.
