The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Rice University currently anticipates an opening for a Visiting Professor/Post-Doctoral Position. As part of the Visiting Professor position, the potential teaching assignment would be the introductory senior-level VLSI Systems Design course where custom chips are fabricated through MOSIS. There are several exciting research projects in the department where we expect and encourage strong research interaction. The Laboratory for Communications Research has an on-going project in Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) systems for wireless communications. In conjunction with the CDMA project, the Computer Engineering Group is exploring parallel DSP architectures and custom VLSI processors. This position would be for a one-year term, with possible extension for a second year.
