As you complete your document, you will want to load it into your viewer and methodically click through EVERY hypertext link to assure that they are all working properly. You will also want to check each graphic, and visually inspect text alignment and the position of graphics. Also look objectively at each screen for signs of data-wash.
Data-wash occurs when your screen is filled with tons of useful data and text that is confusing, jumbled, and intimidating. If your information does not appear in a friendly fashion, users will not want to view it. Format your text in an organized manner. Use separators and page-breaks when necessary. Don't pack columns too closely together. Do not stream pages of un-broken text. All these things are hard on the eyes, as well as confusing to the viewer.
The final review process is tedious and will take a lot of time, but this clean-up must be done. If you don't take the time to go through every page and find all the obvious mistakes, your customers will know. You may even want to have a third-party go through the document and give you his or her opinion.
