Saving as DOS Text with Layout will preserve your document spacing and format almost entirely. This Option can be found as one of the file formats in the MS Word SAVE AS menu selection. After you "Save As", you may want to view the document in Windows Notebook or DOS-Edit to ensure the conversion went smoothly. DOS Text with Layout has the 3 character extension .ASC.
