Course description
This course gives students an overview of the American musical,
from its conception to the present. Throughout the semester, students will
view the best musicals and listen to the most famous songs. The connection
will be discussed between the change in musical form and societal morale
and ideology.
There is a possibility that the students, if desired, will learn in class a
few most beloved and well-known songs, like "I'm Dreaming of a White
Christmas," "I Could've Danced All Night," "My Favorite Things," etc.
