ABOUT US

The Bengali Cultural Association (BCA) was formed in 1985 by Mr. Prasanta Gupta and Prof. Kajal Lahiri with the goal of celebrating Durga Puja, Saraswati Puja, Bengali New Year and Annual Picnic in a systematic manner. Other than its founders, Mr. Ajay Sil has also been deeply involved with the organization since its inception. For the past twenty years, BCA has been organizing cultural, social, and religious services for the Bengali as well as the Indian community of the Greater Capital District of New York. BCA also endeavors to provide the second generation Bengalis the opportunity of staying in touch with their culture and heritage.
