CD-44 Rotor Controller Pinout:
1) Universal return
2) Brake
3) Meter (Input)
4) One end of surge-suppressing capacitor
5) Turn right
6) Turn left
7) Meter (Power)
8) Other end of capacitor

Rotor Pinout (as seen by inspection of the internals):
1) Black, Ground
2) Yellow, Brake
3) Cyan, One end of sense pot's stator
4) Blue, Rotation motor blue line
5) Orange, Rotation motor red line, through a switch
6) Yellow, Rotation motor blue line, through a switch
7) White, Other sense pot stator
8) Red, Rotation motor red line

So, basically, connect rotor controller to rotor straight-
through.
