The Power Electronics Society (PELS) is one of the fastest growing technical societies of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and has over 10,000 members worldwide. Annually, PELS organizes, sponsors and co-sponsors over 40 conferences internationally.
As VP of Conferences, Prof. Sun will be responsible for managing the Society’s conference portfolio and future development. Prof. Sun has served PELS in other capacities before, including as Editor in Chief of Power Electronics Letters, Chair of the Technical Committee on Control and Core Technologies, and Treasurer, and he has been recognized by PELS for technical contributions, including the Modeling and Control Technical Achievement Award (2013), and the R. David Middlebrook Achievement Award (2017).
