I am a computer vision scientist at Nvidia (self-driveing car). Before that, I was a computer vision scientist at Tesla (Autopilot). I obtained my Ph.D degree at the Department of Electrical, Computer, and System Engineering and a M.S. in Applied Mathematics at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (Troy, NY). My advisor was Prof. Qiang Ji.

My research interests are machine learning and computer vision:

  • Probabilistic Graphical Models
  • Deep Learning, Restricted Boltzmann Machines
  • Object detection and tracking
  • Facial landmark detection/tracking and facial behaviour analysis
  • Head pose estimation
  • Eye detection
